SECURIST ARE SHORTLISTED FOR THE LIVING WAGE CHAMPION AWARDS 2015

SECURIST has been shortlisted by the Living Wage Foundation for the Living Wage Champion Awards 2015.

The awards recognise Living Wage employers that have made great contributions to communities and industries by implementing and celebrating the Living Wage.

As the Living Wage is a social consensus about what people need to make ends meet, employers choose to pay the Living Wage on a voluntary basis, showing a shared agreement that work should be the surest way out of poverty.

The Living Wage Foundation offers a recognition mark for employers that commit to paying the Living Wage. There are now over 1800 accredited employers.

SECURIST’s Managing Director, Kurt Davis commented on the nomination:

“I am incredibly proud to be shortlisted for the Living Wage Champion Awards 2015. Although increasing expenditure for a small business may be considered a risk, the increased productivity and happiness of the entire SECURIST team proves it was a worthwhile investment. I’m proud that my company is doing the best it can for its employees, and it is my aim that through our promotion of the Living Wage, other companies are encouraged to do the same.”

Living Wage Foundation Director, Rhys Moore said:

“I would like to send huge congratulations to SECURIST on being shortlisted for the Living Wage Champion Awards. The commitment of Living Wage Employers to responsible pay makes a life changing difference to families and communities across the UK.”

The awards are judged by an independent panel of community leaders from Citizens UK, national community organising charity and home of the Living Wage campaign. The winners will be announced during Living Wage Week, beginning on November 2.
